2010 Adult Learn to Row Application

The East Grand Rapids Crew Adult Learn to Row program is a 3 week program, utilizing 2 mornings a week on Reeds Lake.  The class will be based out of the EGR Crew boathouse, located on the south end of Collins Park on Reeds Lake.  Classes are from 6:30 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. allowing for smooth water and fewer power boats on the lake. The program will be led by EGR Crew Women’s Coach, Kristen Day. A few varsity rowers may also be assisting in the class.  The class will consist of learning the basics of a rowing stroke, boat knowledge, rowing practice on an erg and most importantly, time on the water in an 8+ shell. 

Where:       John Collins Park, East Grand Rapids Crew Boathouse

When:        Session I     Mon. & Wed., June 14, 16, 21, 23, 28 & 30.

                                      (6:30a.m – 8:00a.m.)

Cost:  $150.00 per person.  Cost covers fees for rowing as well as membership in USRowing for the year to cover rower liability insurance.
